reflection for week 1

Self- introduction Hi everyone! My name is Yen. I am the creator of this blog named " Class for ICTs in Language Teaching". This blog is created for sharing my personal reflection after each module of the course " ICTs in Language Teaching", what I have learnt as well as problems I could had during the course. I hope that all of my posts would have comments as well as supports from all of you, my classmates , my visitors. Thank you for joining! Below are some of my reflections on the very first lesson of this course. At the very beginning lesson, we were given chance to get used to the Canvas- an online course, in which we could made a lot of things. The first things is about getting to know about the blog, how it benefits teachers in teaching languages and manages students. Besides, we were instructed to creating our own blog, following the given instructions. I myself found this task is really interesting because this is the very initial steps for us, the teachers could develop our blogs in the future for our students to help them learn English in a more efficient and interesting way. To create a blog, I have followed the following steps: 1. Read the instructions about blog forming in the handout 1. Access the website : www. blogger.com 2. Type the title and the website address ( as I want) 3. Choose the favourite theme for the blog 4. Add a new post 5. Publish 6. Copy the blog URL and submit it as the assignment For me, the instruction is quite simple and clear for me to follow. With the undeniable benefits of blog such as creating a supportively discussing environment, motivating shy and lazy students, enhancing students' creativity and confidence, improving critical thinking, so on, I believe that it would be great if each of us, the English teachers in the years will at least manage one blog-based class for our students and manage it effectively.
